Hihi it's me again! You may have previously read my guide on training and job advancements here:
This is a guide on doing Amoria PQ, also known as APQ.
Why do people do APQ?
Everyone will spawn at the top. Go to the spot just above the mirror (the tiny middle platform above the tree) and press up. You will land at the base of the tree in the middle of the map.
Dream MS does not account for gender in marriages nor APQ, so you can pick a side. Walk left or right and press up at the rock.
You will be warped to either left or right side (depending on the rock you chose). Kill everything. It doesn't matter if you KS people, since these mobs do not give EXP.
Once all the mobs are done, the leader will click The Glimmer Man on the right of the tree.
A Magik Fierry will spawn. It's going to fly around pretty fast so if the leader is standing under Glimmer Man and has a summon (Ifrit, Elquines, Phoenix, Frostprey, that cygnus summon), it would be useful to have it up so Fierry can be killed instantly.
This Magik Fierry will spawn at the top of either side, usually just under the Glimmer Man. Once killed, it will drop a Wing Hammer. Anyone can loot it. If the hammer gets stuck in a wall or an inaccessible place, have the leader click Glimmer Man again and the Fierry will spawn if the previous FIerry has been killed.
COURTESY TIP:
This map has 3 portals, which has 3 little platforms above it, which lead to the 3 ropes in the sky. To get to a rope, you need to go to the portal and press up to land on the platform, then jump and hold the up arrow to grab onto the rope.
If you aren't the leader, this part won't really be too important. Just know the numbers.
This is the APQ stage 2 guide for knowing how many people should be on a rope. I know it says OPQ too but that's because they use the same mechanics.
Everyone begins this stage by all piling on the first rope. This would be the first step, as indicated by the chart, which is "500". 500 means:
HELPFUL TIPS:
Top platforms are labelled: A 2 B 3
Bottom platforms are labelled: C 6 D 9 5
There is no meaning in the labels. They could've named them "apples, pears, oranges, broccoli" and it wouldn't matter.
If you are not the leader, you don't really need to read the rest of this section. The leader, or other people, will tell you where to go.
Everyone starts off by filling up the top platforms and having 1 person at the bottom on C (because it's the first bottom platform).
COURTESY TIP: have a mobile class on C because they'll be moving a lot. For example, you could have a thief, mage, dawn warrior, or night walker.
So at this point, everyone is on A2B3C. This is always the starting combo.
COURTESY TIP: Do not AFK. Please be present during this stage so everyone can move fast. This means to move when you are told to. For example, if someone says "smol 6", I would move to the platform labelled 6.
GENERAL RULE WHEN BOTTOM IS MOVING FROM C TO 5:
A lot of trust is required to participate in APQ. There is a real Google Doc blacklist going around with names of people who abuse that trust or are not courteous players. Some guilds also like to keep a note in BBS or discord of blacklisted players. Below are some general etiquette rules expected of all players in APQ.
Happy apple-hunting!
💡 Training and Job Advancement Guide (all jobs)
Hi :) Welcome to the levelling guide that includes: Training spots (PQ and non-PQ options) Quest recommendations (for certain levels) Job Advancements + questions (for both Cygnus and Explorers!) General notes (e.g. Ephey, parties) Bosses (stats, prequests, recommended classes, recommended...

Why do people do APQ?
- no funding required (or at least, very little funding)
- low level entry requirement: you only need to be level 50 to get married, so that's the same requirement to participate in APQ
- if you have multiple characters who are married, you can reap a lot of meso using APQ
- you get 4 PQ points per run, which is another easy, less braindead way to get Pandora boxes from Ephey's PQ points shop
- fast mesos: each APQ run is approximately 5-7 minutes, and you can do 4 runs in a day. The general courtesy rule is to do all 4 runs back-to-back with the same group of people. You can potentially get 15 apples per set of 4. With apples at 3.2m each at this point in writing, you could get 48m within half an hour!
Dimensional Mirror now has APQ as an option! Click the mirror then select the last option. It will say Amoria PQ and will look like a red heart box of chocolates. Leave that map to the left to get keys.
Most people used to use a tp rock to get to Purplewood Forest 2 but if you prefer the scenic, nostalgic route to Amoria, this section will help you out.

- Go to Henesys
- Look for Thomas Swift. He's a little bit right of the Henesys Park entrance.
- You have arrived at Amoria:
- You need to head to the bottom right portal (where the blue dot is) and go 4 maps right to "Purplewood Forest 2".
- "Amos' Training Ground" is the map after Purplewood Forest 2. Amos' Training Ground is the map people gather to start APQ.
You need to gather 40 Lip Lock keys
from Crystal Boars and Indigo Eyes.
Both these mobs are present in Purplewood Forest 1 and Purplewood Forest 2. However, people generally get their keys in Purplewood Forest 2 because it's the map right before Amos' Training Ground.
The Lip Lock keys stack in piles 10. This is efficient because you need to exchange 10 keys for 1 Entrance Ticket
from Amos. You could hunt 10 keys and exchange a ticket and do the APQ, and then hunt another 10 after that, but that is strongly discouraged because it keeps people waiting. APQ is supposed to be a fast activity.
So here's the general sequence of events to prepare for APQ:

So here's the general sequence of events to prepare for APQ:
- Get 40 Lip Lock Keys
- Talk to Amos the Strong in "Hidden Street: Amos' Training Ground".
- Select the SECOND OPTION: "Trade 10 keys for a ticket!". You should receive this after that dialogue.
- Talk to Amos the Strong again.
- Select the FIRST OPTION. It should be "Enter the Amorian Challenge!!".
- exchange for only ONE TICKET AT A TIME. Do not trade in all 40 keys. Trade only when you are about to go in.
- give your ticket to Amos only when your entire party is ready to go in together. Sometimes people wait inside but I have no trust.
- please do @cd to check how many APQ runs you have left. If you can do only less than 4 runs, let your party know or else risk being blacklisted and blasted over smegas. Yes, there's literally a google doc of blacklisted names.
- once you do step 5 and give your Entrance Ticket to Amos, that counts as ONE COMPLETED RUN according to @cd

COURTESY TIP:
- If you looted the hammer, please say "d" or "done" in all chat so people know and can start moving back up.
- The looter can also send a trade request to the leader to speed things up so that the leader doesn't have to wait for the looter to walk all the way up.
- IF YOU HAVE NO HAMMER: jump up. You will land at the top.
- IF YOU HAVE A HAMMER: drop the hammer on the mirror, then jump up. You will land at the top
- IF YOU ARE THE LEADER: stay at the mirror until you loot the Magik Mirror Shard that is dropped

- 4 people on the first rope
- 1 person on the second rope
- 0 people on the third rope
- 3 people on the first rope
- 1 person on the second rope
- 1 person on the third rope
HELPFUL TIPS:
- check the minimap to see how many people are on each rope, or who's going where
- do not hang too low on the rope. Stay above the 1/4 mark from the bottom of the rope so the system registers your character on the rope.
Top platforms are labelled: A 2 B 3
Bottom platforms are labelled: C 6 D 9 5

So at this point, everyone is on A2B3C. This is always the starting combo.
- People go to their respective platforms.
- Leader clicks Amos.
- Slimes spawn. Count the slimes.
- DO NOT KILL THE SLIMES UNLESS YOU HAVE COUNTED THEM ALL. Usually the leader or FMA will do this.
- In GMS, crystal boars also spawn to knock players off platforms. We don't have that in Dream MS.
- The leader or counter will say how many slimes there are. If 3 slimes spawned, they'll say "3".
- The bottom person moves to the next platform (in this case, that means they move from C to 6).
- The leader counts the slimes that are spawned. So if in the next round, 2 slimes spawned, they will say "32". The "3" is there to keep track of the first round.
- Repeat steps 1-6 until the bottom person lands on 5 and slimes have been counted for platform 5.
COURTESY TIP: Do not AFK. Please be present during this stage so everyone can move fast. This means to move when you are told to. For example, if someone says "smol 6", I would move to the platform labelled 6.
These are the possible slime counts (number of slimes spawned) per combo. This is helpful if you want to use shortcuts, which aren't necessary as it only saves 10 seconds of your time. Doing this stage the original way as mentioned above will still get you to the goal.
Most parties don't go all the way to the 5th bottom platform. For example, if we see "3232" or "3322" or "3223", we know the last platform must be 3 because that's the only combo that uses "3" and "2" in the combo.
Another example is if we see "2222", the last platform must be "1". Or if we see "2212", then the last platform must be "2".

- 44445: all top correct, 1 bottom correct (you'll never see this because you'd pass the stage immediately)
- 44333: 3 top correct
- 33322: 2 top correct
- 22221: 1 top correct
- 11111: all bot correct
- 32233
- 32323

- 22333

GENERAL RULE WHEN BOTTOM IS MOVING FROM C TO 5:
- if the number of slimes goes UP, then that means that platform is CORRECT
- if the number of slimes goes DOWN, then that means that platform is WRONG
After the 5 plats are done, everyone is on A2B35. The leader now says the number "32332". This means that people need to move to "A2CD9". Notice that in the number "32332", the placement of the 3s match the placement of the labels from the bottom level "C6D95". This means that "CD9" were correct. We know this is true because only the bottom was moving, but everyone else was at the top.
Usually, the last people in that group will be moving. In this case, the bottom "mover" and people who were on platforms B and 3 would move down.
Bottom is definitely correct, assuming you didn't miscount slimes. So now, the people on C D 9 will not move. Only A and 2 will move.
This is what we call "the KPQ method": try all combinations of the top until you get it right. You can continue counting slimes to make sure your steps are correct, but I just brute force it and it works just as well.
Now that everyone is on "A2CD9", and CD9 are staying put, only A 2 are moving. They will do the following combinations, just like how we did in KPQ:

I'm not going to put a picture because this one is just a "kill everything you see" stage.
In this map, there are 3 spawns:
COURTESY TIP: go to platforms that don't have people already there so your party can cover more area and be super fast.
All mobs will drop a Cupid Code Piece. Loot them all. It's OK if you loot other people's: this is to speed things up.
Once you've killed everything and looted all the pieces you can get, come back to the top of the map (where you had spawned) near Amos and drop them all. Alternatively, you can also drop them on the platform below Amos if your party runs like that, but check first. Most people like to drop at the top.
IF YOU ARE THE LEADER: you need 50 cupid's code pieces. This map does spawn extras, so you might have 57 pieces. Either way, Amos will only take 50, so have minimum 50.
The leader will click Amos to proceed to the next stage.
FUN FACT: We call these things "buttplugs" or "plugs". It's a running gag.

In GMS APQ, there is a stage called "Fluttering Hearts" that should come after "Last Man Standing". However, that stage is removed here. I'm sure the lower levels appreciate this because the rombots in Fluttering Hearts can hit up to 11k! Fluttering Hearts requires players to walk right and break gates before the mobs get to them.
In this stage "Love Hurts", some of you may spawn on the left, and some on the right. If you spawned on the left, click Amos The Strong to teleport to the right side. In GMS, the leader would do this part to warp everyone in, but in Dream, you click for yourself.
If you are low levelled or weak or have microscopic HP, please hide in the bottom left corner after you spawn on the right side. Staying on the thorns will help you avoid the attacks from the boss.
There are 3 stages of the boss, called Geist Balrog. Phase 1 looks like this, and has 100k HP so it gets killed pretty fast. It also doesn't fly and is weak to holy damage.
Attacks: heal, meteor (cannot avoid), flame, claw/scratch.
Once that's done, it transforms into Phase 2. It has 300k HP and it flies. It's also weak to holy.
Attacks: spheres, thunder/lightning
Once Phase 2 is killed, Phase 3 spawns and it's the final phase. Low levels should avoid this boss, it hits approximately 2k damage. It has 1.5m HP and can teleport, making it the most mobile boss. It's strong against fire, ice, and holy. Blaze Wizards can do Elemental Reset to do attacks on it. Other mages can do Magic Claw.
Attacks: dispel, weapon cancel, magic cancel, teleport to random spots, claw/scratch
COURTESY TIPS:
This is a Geist Fang.
The leader will pick up the Geist Fang and click Amos to clear the stage. Click Amos again to warp your entire party to bonus.

- stand on thorns to avoid being hit by the boss' attacks
- watch for dispel when Phase 3 spawns!
- once Phase 3 starts teleporting in the same spot (appearing and disappearing) too quickly for you to attack, that means it's aggro'd on someone. Everyone needs to move to either bottom left or bottom right corner to lure it away from the spot it's teleporting on. If you have a low level or weak person hiding in a corner, avoid luring to that corner when Phase 3 starts teleporting
The leader will pick up the Geist Fang and click Amos to clear the stage. Click Amos again to warp your entire party to bonus.
COURTESY TIPS:
- LEADERS: please ask if your party is ready to go to bonus. They may want to swap weapons or do haste/SI.
- EVERYONE ELSE: please immediately swap weapons ASAP. Make sure you are off the thorns.
This is why people come to APQ.
Your entire party will be warped here. There are a lot of boxes everywhere, but there are some rules of etiquette and recommended routes for efficiency and courtesy.
This pic is from here.
Box breakdown per section:
These aren't set routes but they're generally recommended for major box coverage.
COURTESY TIPS:
Etiquette will be covered at the end in the "Etiquette" section.
Drops that are valuable:
Your entire party will be warped here. There are a lot of boxes everywhere, but there are some rules of etiquette and recommended routes for efficiency and courtesy.
- TOP ROUTE (15 boxes): you take the top platform and second platform from the top.
- MID ROUTE (15 boxes): you take the third and fourth platform from the top.
- LEFT ROUTE (16 boxes): you may spawn at top left, then you go down the side, including the 2 tiny wall platforms.
- recommended for mages who can teleport-hit the tiny platforms: hit the box, teleport up/down, then hit that box, and teleport again.
- RIGHT ROUTE (15 boxes): you may spawn at top right, then you go down the side, including the 2 tiny wall platforms.
- recommended for mages to teleport-hit
- BOTTOM 1 ROUTE (15 boxes): you take the top row of the bottom. It's the flat level with the palm trees on it.
- the top right platform of this route requires 120% jump to jump onto that platform
- BOTTOM 2 ROUTE (15 boxes): you take the bottom row of the bottom, with the flat valley in the middle.
This pic is from here.
Box breakdown per section:
- #1: 7 doubles (8 for mages), 1 single (0 for mages) = 15-16 boxes total
- #2: 7 doubles, 2 singles = 16 boxes total
- #3: 6 doubles (7 for mages), 3 singles (1 for mages) = 15 boxes total
- #4: 6 doubles, 3 singles = 15 boxes total
- #5: 6 doubles, 3 singles = 15 boxes total
- #6: 6 doubles, 2 singles = 14 boxes total
These aren't set routes but they're generally recommended for major box coverage.
COURTESY TIPS:
- Mobile classes (mages, thieves, dawn warriors, corsairs) are encouraged to move onto an unoccupied route if they happen to land on the same route as an immobile class (archers, buccaneers, thunder breakers, heroes, dark knights, paladins)
- Avoid cutting off someone's route
- See an apple that's not yours but is in your area? Speak up and say where it is (e.g. "an apple fell from top left")
Etiquette will be covered at the end in the "Etiquette" section.
Drops that are valuable:
- This is approx 3.2 mil each at the time of writing.
- People usually dump this out but I keep them in case my APQ party has no haste or I need extra avoid at bosses.
- People usually dump this out but I keep them because I don't want to pay for ciders.
- Other drops that are pretty meh are earrings, capes, etc. They're good NPC money and a set of 4 runs can get you about 2 mil just from these drops.
A lot of trust is required to participate in APQ. There is a real Google Doc blacklist going around with names of people who abuse that trust or are not courteous players. Some guilds also like to keep a note in BBS or discord of blacklisted players. Below are some general etiquette rules expected of all players in APQ.
Notes in yellow = courteous, and you have a possibility of getting blacklisted or blasted over smegas if you don't follow them.
Notes in red = 100% blacklisted and blasted over smegas if you don't follow them.
Notes in red = 100% blacklisted and blasted over smegas if you don't follow them.
- Stay for all 4 runs. If you cannot stay for all 4, let your party know BEFORE anyone hands in their ticket.
- No AFKing. APQ is fast only when everyone does their part. Moreover, Stages 2 and 3 require all 6 participants to be active. Being AFK holds everyone back and that is very inconsiderate.
- Follow your (expected) APQ bonus routes. If you are on a left route and you climb to the very top platform because you see that top person hasn't gotten there yet, that's impeding on their route and lessens their potential apple count. This is equivalent of stepping on someone's foot.
- Count how many apples you have in your inventory BEFORE bonus. This is crucial to help keep a check on apple thieves. For example, if you had 10 apples on you, and you saw you looted 3 apples, and someone said to you that you took one of their apples, you can check your inventory to see if you gained more than the 3 apples you saw you looted. And then if you did have more than the 3 apples you saw, then you know you did take someone's apple.
- NO STEALING OTHER PEOPLE'S APPLES. This is a whole different colour because this is definitely worthy of being blacklisted AND blasted on smegas. If it's an accident, tell that person and trade them to give them their apple immediately once you leave the APQ exit map.
Happy apple-hunting!
